Background:
The following was to a follower of Islam who had questions about the Gospel, written out of love for the lost and a desire for all to repent and turn back to God (2 Peter 3:9). I hope that any future reader can gain something from this. – Ben

Mateen C.,
The Holy Spirit is God, not a creation. This is core Christian doctrine as evidenced in the Scriptures.
- Ezekiel 36:26-27 – God will put His Spirit in them.
- All 4 Gospels – The Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon Jesus, while The Father said that Jesus was His Son in whom He was well pleased, showing the Trinity.
- Matthew 28:19 – Jesus gave us the Great Commission: “to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. This passage also equates the Holy Spirit as equal to God and as God Himself.
- Acts 5:3-4 – States that the man lied to the Holy Spirit, and that his sin was lying to God, equating the Holy Spirit as God.
The idea that the Holy Spirit is not a person of the Trinity is a heretical teaching called Macedonianism which was condemned by the Council of Constantinople in 381 AD. It is currently taught by Jehovah’s witnesses, and Mormons.

This should help you as well:
“The Trinity is a mystery that cannot be comprehended by human reason but is understood by faith and is best confessed in the words of the Athanasian Creed which states that we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; neither confounding the Persons: nor dividing the Substance. That we are compelled by the Christian faith to confess that each distinct person is God and Lord and that the deity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is one equal in glory, coequal in majesty.”

Mateen C.,
Good to hear from you! Maybe I can clear things up.
- There is only one God. There are no other gods beside Him (Exodus 20:3-7). The Christian God is the one true God — The Most High God (Psalm 57:2). God is infinite and eternal (Psalm 90:2, Isaiah 40:28, 1 Timothy 1:17). There are no other beings that even come close to God and His power (Jeremiah 10:6, Psalm 86:8).
We must then ask ourselves, according to Scripture (God’s Word), who does God say He is to us? How does this one God explain His character to humankind? This first question comes from the very first chapter of the very first book of the Bible (Genesis 1:1:2) which states:“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”We see here the one True God created everything, but we also see something curious — The Spirit of God. Genesis 1:26 says:“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”God is using the plural form, saying “US” and “in OUR image”. This is quite strange for a one True God. But there are other verses as well
* Ezekiel 36:26-27 – God will put His Spirit in them.* Acts 5:3-4 – States that the man lied to the Holy Spirit, and that his sin was lying to God, equating the Holy Spirit as God.* Ephesians 4:4-6 – “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” - There is only one God, but exists in three persons, we call this the Trinity. It is a mystery to mankind how it works, but it is evident through Scripture that God exists in three distinct persons while at the same time still fully equally God. This is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. We see Jesus express this himself, calling himself God (for Jesus was born of a virgin, Mary, He was God adding to Himself humanity, to become the God-man Jesus Christ. Jesus is 100% man and 100% God.).John 10:30-36
“I and the Father are one.” Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” - We see the concept of the Trinity in multiple places, here is just one of them that exists in all four Gospels:The Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon Jesus, while The Father said that Jesus was His Son in whom He was well pleased, showing the Trinity.* Matthew 28:19 – Jesus gave us the Great Commission: “to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. This passage also equates the Holy Spirit as equal to God and as God Himself.4. We do not worship 3 Gods, but only one True God who exists as 3 distinct persons, all fully being 100% God Himself.

Mateen C.,
I’m glad to help you out. I hope God gives you wisdom and understanding in the Gospel, and I pray that I have sufficiently answered your questions. Continue asking questions, because the Truth always leads to Jesus. If I missed any question, please let me know.
1. “my dear brother …. What are athanasians…? Philipians,, corentians …. Who are they”
Athanasius was an early church father who lived between 298-373 AD. Although, I was referencing the Athanasian Creed. Creeds are a collection of statements of faith which contain true Biblical points of theology. The Anthanasian Creed was developed in 500 AD to refute the false doctrine of Arianism, which denied aspects of the Trinity (The Triune God, as I said earlier — The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
Philippians and Corinthians was referencing letters to the churches of Philipi and Corinth written by the Apostle Paul. These letters are found in the New Testament of the Bible and called Philippians and Corinthians.
2. “can you please explain why is it mentioned in your holy bible in john that Jesus himself is saying …. On that day many will say to me lord lord … Have we not proficy in your name and in your name cast out devil and in your name did many mighty work …. And what is the reply …. Jesus will reply I never knew you …. Depart from you you rubbish I don’t know you ….”
This verse is from Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus is talking about false believers in Christianity. Many people today in America and all over the world will say “I love Jesus” or “I believe in Jesus”, but the problem is that those same people do not obey Jesus. Jesus said plainly in John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” and in John 14:21 “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”.
If people say they actually love Jesus, they need to actually obey Jesus. Jesus in the Matthew 7 passage is saying that many people will stand before Jesus when they die, and say “Jesus look at all the good things I did for you” and Jesus will respond in a way that says: “No, you did not do them for Me because you never were worshipping me, you were worshipping yourself (or something else). Go away from Me, you people who really love your sin instead of loving Me”.
3. “For he the spirit of truth shell come , he shell guide you , for he shell not speaking for himself but he shell speak what he shell hear .. He shell glorify me and he shell guide mankind to all truth , if I do not go the comforter shell not come as I go I will send him …
I am asking who is that comforter…. ?”
The passage from Scripture you are referencing about the Comforter is from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, coming from the book of John. I will list those passages below in a modern English translation (ESV) to better understand them:
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16-17)
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” (John 14:26)
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.” (John 15:26)
“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” (John 16:7)
In these four passages it is translated “Helper” (or in some other English translations it says “Comforter”, but it means the same thing). This is talking about the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triune God (1 God, 3 persons). In John 15:26 it gives more evidence of the doctrine of the Trinity as it says again that the Holy Spirit is of the same substance as God (equating the Holy Spirit as being God Himself) by saying “the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father”. This passage is a prophecy of Jesus from when Jesus died on the cross, was in the tomb for 3 days, resurrected to life, and shown Himself to the Disciples in the 4 Gospels/Book of Acts. When Jesus ascends back into Heaven, He reminds the Disciples that He will give them the Holy Spirit, and on the Day of Pentecost (a few days later), Jesus fulfilled His promise and the Holy Spirit came upon the Disciples and entered them, and the Disciples were able to preach the Gospel to everyone around them, each person hearing the Word of God in their own native language. Now, Christians today still receive the Holy Spirit, but they do not speak other native languages when they receive the Holy Spirit today, because that was a one-time occurrence just for the Disciples.
We can read all of this below in Acts chapter 1:
“He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” “ (Acts 1:7-11)
And also from Acts chapter 2:
“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” ” (Acts 2:1-11)
4. “And in that very bible in that very same john its mentioned that god so love the world that he gave his only begotten son which you are mentioning ….
Can you please explain what is the meaning of begotten ….”
(This is an advanced lesson in theology) The verse you described is found in John 3:16. The phrase “only begotten son” is another way of saying:
“Jesus exists as a part of the Father”, meaning that “Jesus is God and came from God, not created by God nor formed by God, but Jesus is God and exists of the same material that God is made up of. Jesus is unique, there is none like Him”
The original Greek translation of the Bible uses the word “monogenes” which describes a unique character aspect of Jesus, as in, “no other person or being is like Him”. The version of the Bible that has this translation is the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. The KJV translators of the Greek word “monogenes” used the poorly-chosen word “begotten” (originally meaning “created”) to use in their Old English translation of the Bible. Old English is the language that the KJV was written in, which is not the same as Modern English.
5. “if the god almighty is the one who can’t be copied in any of his characteristics … Then what is holy spirit …. And why he is called god like god almighty …?”
Like I said before, the doctrine of the Trinity is a very difficult concept to understand. This is true because God and His ways are above anyone else’s understanding as we can read in Isaiah:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)
The Holy Spirit is God (1 God with 3 persons), and is made up of the same material as both God the Father and God the Son (Jesus Christ). Only one God do we worship, not three gods, but this one God is so powerful, so mighty, so wise, and so infinite, that this one God we worship exists somehow in 3 persons, in perfect unity. Again, the doctrine of the Trinity is Biblical Truth, but it is still a mystery to humankind because it is very hard to understand it. When you hear the phrase “The Lord our God, the Lord is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4), it can also be translated as “the Lord is unified” or “the Lord is in unity [with Himself]”. If this is still hard to understand, that is okay. It is a Truth that is only partially known by those who are saved by Christ, but when we die and see Jesus in Heaven, we shall know and understand as fully as Christ Himself knows and understands us (1 Corinthians 13:12).
6. “And you have given reference from the book of psalms… Good but do you know there is a character in that very same book who was a high priest of journalism… And his name is malchisedack ( sorry for my spellings). . now that guy had no father no mother …. He has no beginning and no ending … And he was present there in Israel by then among ….
Remember no beginning … No end … No father no mother ….”
This strange person you mention is called Melchizedek. This is also an advanced lesson in theology called a “Christophany”. You are correct, this person had no mother or father, and just showed up one day to Abram in the desert. The first recording of Melchizedek was in Genesis 14:18. We read this below:
“After his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (He was priest of God Most High.) And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!” And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.” (Genesis 14:17-20)
What you have just read, is a pre-incarnate manifestation of Jesus Christ. Remember, Jesus Christ is God and as it is stated in the Scriptures: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8). What you see here, and in other parts of the Bible is Jesus Christ (God the Son) showing up in history before He was to come and take upon Himself humanity (being born of a virgin) and die on the cross for our sins.
This random King (who is said to be the High Priest of God, in a time of history where there were no High Priests of God because Abram was the first “father” of the Old Covenant), Melchizedek just showed up after a major battle where Abram (later known as Abraham) had won. Melchizedek was not mentioned anywhere else before or after this passage of Scripture. He just shows up, blesses Abram, blesses God, Abram gives a sacrifice of his spoils of war, and then Melchizedek is seen no more.
When we later read in the Psalms (songs of King David), David is remembering this person from history named Melchizedek who appeared out of nowhere, having not been born of man or woman, and disappearing from history just the same. David is prophesying about the Messiah/Savior that God had promised long ago (Jesus Christ). David is saying that this future Savior will be a priest forever, just like Melchizedek. This is true because Jesus is called our “High Priest” (Hebrews 4:14-16), who prays and intercedes in Heaven for His believers on earth (Hebrews 7:25). This doctrine is backed up by the New Testament again in Hebrews:
“This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life. For it is witnessed of him, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”…but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.'” This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.” (Hebrews 7:15-28)
Other examples of Christophanies include:
- God appearing and “walking” with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8)
- The “Angel of the LORD” (not an actual angel, but really Jesus) in Numbers 22:21-35
- Isaiah sees a vision of God in His Holy Temple (Isaiah 6) and verified by John’s vision in Revelation 4:1-11
- Zechariah’s vision in Zechariah 1:7–17
Other Scripture proof:
- Jesus states that He “and the Father are one” in John 10:30
- Jesus (God the Son) is the true reflection of God the Father (Hebrews 1:3)
- God the Father cannot fully be seen by mankind (in all His Glory), lest they die (Exodus 33:20, John 1:18, John 5:37, John 6:46, 1 Timothy 6:15-16)
7. “Dear brother he should be a bigger god than Jesus don’t you think…? Jesus was born so he has begining and an apparent end …. I am sure you are getting my point ..”
As stated previously, God is eternal. This Jesus of who we speak always existed, as He was always God, a part of the Triune God. Jesus always existed, then as prophesied about Himself, He took upon humanity to save humankind from their sins. How did He accomplish this? Through Old Testament prophesy. There are probably around 350 different prophesies of Jesus in the Old Testament, you can read all of them here if you like (some are redundant). But I will list a few here, in chronological order of Jesus’ ministry on earth:
- The Messiah will be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14 –> Luke 1:26-37)
- The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2 –> Matthew 2:1-8)
- A mother will be weeping for her murdered children (Jeremiah 31:15 –> Matthew 2:16-19)
- The Messiah will be called out of Egypt (Hosea 11:1 -> Matthew 2:19-21)
- The Messiah will be called a “Nazarene” [translated “Netzer”] (Isaiah 11:1 –> Matthew 2:21-23)
- The prophet Elijah would return before the Messiah arrives (Isaiah 40:3-4, Malachi 3:1, Malachi 4:5-6 –> Matthew 3:1-17)
- The Messiah’s ministry begins in Galilee (Isaiah 9:1-7 –> Matthew 4:12-17)
- The Gentile (non-Jewish) nations will seek Him (Isaiah 11:10 –> John 12:18-22)
- He shall be a Light to the gentile nations (Isaiah 42:6 –> Luke 2:21-35)
There are also extra-Biblical accounts of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, some of which you can read here.
** “Extra-Biblical” means that they are from secular sources.
8. “you said about trinity and you said its mistry …. God sent prophets ….for what … To guide man kind you have to agree with me … And what was the job of prophets …to teach to send over message …. Right or not .. And your bible says every prophet sent is a spirit of god … This means they don’t say a word by them selves …. How come god forgot to explain this mistry ……?”
This is also an advanced lesson in theology The Trinity is still a partially-revealed mystery to those who are saved. As stated in #5, we will fully understand the Trinity when we die and meet with Jesus in Heaven. The Old Testament prophets spoke the Word of God to His people (the ethnic nation of Israel). Every prophet in the Old Testament (and including John the Baptizer in the New Testament), were prophesying by the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triune God. God plainly stated that there were no more prophets after John the Baptizer (Luke 16:16). God did not forget to explain this concept of the Spirit of God giving His Word to His people, it is stated in Scripture in various passages. You can read more below:
- The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament – Ligonier Ministries
- How Believers Experienced the Spirit Before Pentecost – Desiring God

9. “Further you said that Jesus was born a virgin marry this means he has no human father … I agree with you …. But do you know Adam had no father no mother … He must be a bigger god than Jesus ….
If Jesus was 100 % man plus god Adam is 200% man plus god because he had no mother no father …”
This is a misunderstanding. In Genesis 1:26-28, we see that God created Adam and Eve in His image (as in, meaning we resemble qualities of God in ways that the other creatures did not – we have souls, animals do not). How did He do this? Genesis 2 gives more clarification:
“then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature…So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.” (Genesis 2:7,21-22)
God formed mankind (as in, God created mankind). God did not create Jesus, Jesus is God and has always existed as God, and exists in perfect unity of the Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit). God the Son, added onto Himself humanity (being conceived by the Holy Spirit and by a virgin woman – Luke 1:26-37). God the Son always existed, but now to fulfill prophecy and seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), God the Son would humble Himself to be born as mankind is born (Luke 2:7), to be tempted as mankind is tempted but without sin (Matthew 4:11, Hebrews 4:15), and die on the cross to pay the penalty of all believer’s sins (1 John 4:10), in which the wages of sin is death (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23). Jesus did not stay dead, as He is fully God (John 10:30), but rose from the dead (Luke 24:1-53, 1 Corinthians 15:6), and ascended into Heaven to sight at the right hand of the Father God (Acts 1:7-11, Acts 2:14-36).
Jesus has always existed, then humbled Himself to take part in human history, succeeding in that task, He ascended back into Heaven with God Almighty.
10. “And my dear brother … You mentioned John … Alright … But how can you explain when Jesus says in the bible that my father is greater than I … My father is greater than all … I speak nothing but of my father … And I cast out devil in father s name … And I my self do nothing …. What it implies …. That he is same .. Come on…”
The verse you mentioned does not state that The Father is Greater than Jesus, it actually says:
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” (John 10:29-30)
Jesus clearly states that none of His elect will lose their salvation, because God Himself is greater than all other things. Jesus emphasizes that He and the Father are equally the same God. Jesus is saying here that nothing can remove the salvation from His people’s lives, because God (who Jesus is Himself) is greater than all other things that exist.
**“His elect” means “the people who God had chosen to be saved before the creation of the world. Those He foreknew (Romans 8:29)”
11. “Lastly … This word trinity is never existed in bible ….. Never …you read what ever version you like…”
Correct, the word “Trinity” does not exist in the Bible the same as the word “Christophany” is also not in the Bible, but by reading the Word of God (the Bible), you can easily see the concepts of these two words. I have already extensively spoken about the Trinity and Christophanies, so you can re-read the Scripture passages that pertain to them.
12. “you said Jesus is the son of god whom he is well pleased …. Right … According to bible … Jesus is not the only son… No he is not …. God has sons by the tons in bible … Moses is son of god Abram is son of god … Adam Noah …Jacob is son of god … Israel is son of god … If you mean begotten even then Jesus is not the first begotten son according to bible …”
Jesus is the only one in the Bible who has the title “Son of God” and also “Son of Man”, as Jesus is the God-Man who is eternally God, and since His life on earth, He is also eternally Man due to God the Son taking upon Himself humanity.
Adam, Abram, Jacob (Israel), Moses, Noah are not sons of God. They are sinful men who God predestined to bring about the Savior, Jesus Christ in human history. Those men are men, and not of God.
13. “Its mentioned about David …. And god says David you are my son this day I begot you …. What it means …. ? How can this begotten ( David) is forgotten ….?”
Psalm 2:7 is a prophecy from David about the coming Messiah (Jesus Christ). The prophecy is fulfilled in Matthew 3:16-17:
“And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.””
14. Further you said about Matthew …. Who was he .. He was Jesus decipile … Only a decipile not the hire of Jesus in prophet hood … Like all Luke mark and john …. None if them were prophets but deciplies only followers and they were Jews too .. Just for the record … Like Jesus like marry like twelve tribes of Israel ….
I think one thing that is confusing you is that not all important Biblical figures were prophets. Prophets were very specific people appointed by God in the Old Testament, like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, Haggai, Hosea, etc… Some people were not prophets but did prophesy, like David.
Disciple is a word that means “student”, the disciples were students of Jesus. When Jesus ascended into Heaven, we then call them Apostles meaning “messengers”. Regardless, the 12 Disciples (aka Apostles) are not “lesser” than the Old Testament prophets like Isaiah or Elijah. All men are equally sinful (Romans 3:23), so no human is greater than any other human, whether you call them “followers”, or “disciples”, or “apostles”, or “prophets”, or “teachers”. All are equally sinful before a Holy God, therefore, all are equally on the same level before God, so God does not show partiality (favoritism) to any human being (Romans 2:11-12, Deuteronomy 10:17, Acts 10:34-35).
15. “lastly … You said you don’t worship three gods … I have to correct you here too by the bible as its mentioned for there be three in heaven … The father , the son and the holy ghost … And these three are one … Further its your caticisam the roman catholic the Anglican the lotheran the seventh day advantist the Methodist all …. That Father is god , son is god , holy spirit is god but these are not three but one god …it continues The father is a person the son is a person the holy spirit is a person but these are not three but one person … It continues The father is Almighty the son is Almighty the holy spirit is Almighty .. I am asking what are you saying….. Is it English … Is it… Its not…with due respect of course … Look I give you example … Suppose you have three identical triplets … One of them commits a crime let us say a murder …. Can you suggest hang the other … Although they are identical …. Can you … If not why not….? Because all three have different personality …right …. How come god who has created all the knowledge doesn’t know this …. ?”
I have already went over this, but maybe this funny video can help a little as well.
** (PSA: I do not endorse Lutheranism)
16. “oh I forgot to answer one point …. You said god said us and we … Plural pronoun right … That because god used these pronouns so god is in three shapes … Well can you please tell me what was the original language of Jesus …. Was it English … Where did Jesus born … In Israel right and he was Jew so Hebrew is his mother tongue …. Do you know Hebrew ….? This Hebrew language has a plural of respect …. There is a plural of number plus there is a plural of respect …. You ask somebody who speaks Hebrew he will tell you …. Same like Arabic …. You an Arab he will tell you …this is his language … What you are reading is translation … Not the actual text … And you have to agree with me a translation can never be identical to the actual text …. It can’t be … Why because of the choice of words used by the translator …… Hope you understood…”
Correct, the Old Testament was written in Hebrew (and some parts Aramaic). In the Hebrew language it is pluralized, just as it is pluralized in modern English (and other) translations. You can learn more about this below:
